Why Pakistan
- The textile/apparel is a vital industry in Pakistan which constitutes 60% of country’s export and utilizes 40% of the labor within the country. It manufactures wide range of products including apparel, hosiery, home textile, leather and sports goods etc. It is a self-reliant industry as it's being supported by domestic raw material especially cotton. It has 4th largest cotton production globally.
- Pakistan also has skilled labor force, cost effective production, complementing infrastructure and logistics support which help boost the textile economy. The products are exported globally whereas the country enjoys "GSP Plus" status for European states.
